Thankful….

As I sit in my office during this four-day Thanksgiving weekend, I'm reflecting on the things I am thankful for this year. While I have many obvious reasons—such as my family, our health, and my clients—one particular experience stands out.

Back in March, a woman reached out to me needing help with photography for her website, which she created for a business she started after the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. She was about to get her product into the hands of Neiman Marcus, who requested that she improve the product images for their website. As fate would have it, I was introduced to Megan Troitter, the founder of Oh My Mahjong, through a mutual connection.

When we began our photography work in March, I assumed it would be a one-off gig—just a small project where I would shoot for the client once or twice and then never hear from them again. However, this client has been anything but that! I have been photographing OMM every month this year, and my stylist and I are continually amazed at the new products Megan constantly creates. She is a powerhouse of unlimited energy and creativity.

Megan is also passionate about empowering other women and working moms, fostering a wonderful work environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance for families. I feel incredibly honored and fortunate to have met Megan and to be part of the remarkable world of Mahjong that she has created. It’s truly inspiring to witness her succeed at her dream and to see her business grow.
